Obtain authorisation before entering a confined space

• Confirm with the Site Manager/Supervisor or the Person in Charge of the work that it is safe to start work
• Follow the requirements of the Work Permit
• Confirm you can enter a confined space
• Confirm rescue plan is in place

Attendants should:

• Approve, record and control access to a confined space
• Have means of communication with people in the confined space
• Be trained and competent
