Obtain authorisation before entering a confined space
- Confirm with the Site Manager/Supervisor or the Person in Charge of the work that it is safe to start work
- Follow the requirements of the Work Permit
- Confirm you can enter a confined space
- Confirm rescue plan is in place
Attendants should:
- Approve, record and control access to a confined space
- Have means of communication with people in the confined space
- Be trained and competent
