Diamond Drilling utilizes diamond-tipped drill bits for precise hole creation in materials like concrete, masonry, or asphalt. It offers high accuracy, minimal damage, and is commonly used for installing utilities, creating openings, or extracting core samples. This controlled and efficient method is popular in construction projects.

sawing

Floor Sawing makes use of a specialised saw to cut concrete or asphalt surfaces with precision. It is used for creating incisions for utilities, expansion joints, or removing damaged sections. This method ensures efficient and controlled cutting while minimising disruption to surrounding structures.

We employ a range of established techniques to form walls and plinths across our jobs. LDD have formed lift shafts, block and beam floors, and plant room walls.

Controlled demolition is a meticulously planned and executed process, prioritising safety and specific outcomes like removing sections of a structure. It is commonly used to clear space for new construction or eliminate unsafe buildings.

Soft Strip involves removing non-load-bearing elements from a building before refurbishment or demolition. It includes careful dismantling of fixtures, fittings, partitions, and services. Soft Strip prepares the space for construction, minimising waste and enabling recycling or reuse of materials.

Concreting Works involve pouring, shaping, and finishing concrete structures. This includes formwork preparation, reinforcement placement, pouring, compaction, levelling, and curing. It is crucial for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and other structural components.

Screeding creates a level and smooth surface on a concrete or screed base. It involves using a straightedge or screed board to distribute and flatten the mixture, ensuring uniform thickness and surface evenness. Commonly used for flooring, it provides a solid foundation for finishes and installations.

StructuralSteelwork

Structural steelwork utilises steel as a primary component in buildings and infrastructure, involving fabrication, erection, and installation of elements like beams, columns, and trusses. It offers advantages such as strength, versatility, and durability, making it widely used in different structures.

Drainage involves a system of pipes and structures that remove excess water, preventing accumulation, controlling runoff, and preserving stability. It prevents water damage and erosion. LDD provides below-ground drainage, sump pump, and manhole installations as part of their building package.

Trevor Meierhofer

Trevor — who will be heading this division up for LDD — comes with extensive knowledge in Concrete Cutting, but also coming from a Civil engineering background, he adds a wealth of experience and is a perfect addition to the group.

Trevor has worked in and around the East Anglian area for the past 15 years and brings an existing client base with him. With the LDD backing and our continued investment we are looking forward to seeing this division develop.

Diamond Drilling

Diamond drilling is known for its precision, efficiency, and versatility. Unlike traditional drilling methods, diamond drilling can cut through a wide range of materials without causing significant damage to the surrounding area. It also allows for drilling at different angles and in tight spaces.

Floor Sawing

Diesel or electric powered saws allow long straight sections of concrete to be cut in a short timeframe. Can be used to form drainage runs in ground bearing slabs, depths up to 600mm.

Builderswork

We employ a range of established techniques to form walls and plinths across our jobs. LDD have formed lift shafts, block and beam floors and plant room walls.

Controlled Demolition

The process is carefully planned and executed to ensure the safety of the surrounding area and to achieve a specific outcome, such as the removal of a specific section of a structure. Controlled demolition is often used to make way for new construction or to remove unsafe or structurally unsound buildings.

Soft Strip

The goal of soft strip is to remove all of the non-essential elements from the building, leaving only the structural components and any items that will be reused or repurposed. This can include things like interior walls, ceilings, flooring, electrical and mechanical fixtures, and other non-load bearing items.

Concreting Works

Internal or external concrete works. Externally we install R/C plinths for plant, temp roads and undertake associated rebar designs where needed. Internally using holorib as form work we can infill sections of existing slabs, design and install rebar and form new slabs.

Screeding

When it comes to screeding no job is too big. LDD can create flooring using traditional screening methods as well as using the latest materials and techniques.

Structural Steelwork

Having high strength, stiffness, and ductile properties, structural steel is one of the most commonly used materials in commercial and industrial construction. Structural steel can be erected as soon as the materials are delivered on site, making steel a schedule-friendly construction material.

Drainage

As part of our overall building package, LDD install below-ground drainage, sump pump and manholes.
